Dr. Max Orris is proud to call Pacific, Missouri home. Having grown up in the community, he considers it a privilege to care for the people and families who have supported him throughout his life.
After graduating from Pacific High School, Dr. Orris earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville before receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in 2016. Shortly after graduation, he and his wife opened Agape Family Chiropractic in Eureka. In 2020, they relocated the practice to Pacific, where it became Orris Family Chiropractic. As his passion for upper cervical care and complex neurological conditions continued to grow, the practice evolved into Gateway Upper Cervical Institute in 2026, allowing him to focus on helping patients find answers when other treatments haven’t provided lasting relief.
Dr. Orris believes learning never stops. He regularly attends advanced chiropractic conferences and seminars across the country while also teaching and speaking at educational events to help other chiropractors expand their knowledge and better serve their own patients.
Giving back to the community has always been important to Dr. Orris. Over the years, he has served in leadership and volunteer roles with several local organizations, including the Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce, the Pacific Tourism Commission, and the MVR-III Bridge Foundation. He has also participated in chiropractic mission trips to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and to San Quentin, providing care to people who otherwise had limited access to chiropractic services.
When he’s not in the office, you’ll usually find Dr. Orris spending time with his wife and their two children. Whether they’re traveling, exploring the outdoors, coaching youth sports, hunting, fishing, or working on projects around the house, he enjoys staying active and making memories with his family. He is grateful for the opportunity to raise his family in the same community that helped shape his own life and is honored to care for the neighbors he calls friends.
